It’s called a “beaver stick tea set” because the handle is made from foraged sticks found in Chicago area wetlands that have preserved markings of beaver teeth. Beavers, though sometimes thought of as a nuisance, are crucial in the creation of wetland ecosystems that are a refuge for many local animals and migrating birds!

The glaze combo is a sleek matte black over a rich, dark brown clay. The inside is glazed a glossy transparent amber. The handle is custom made with brass and a foraged stick found near a beaver dam near the DuPage river. The wooden handle is lightly stained and sealed to keep out water.

• Tea pot has built in strainer at the spout so you can steep loose leaf tea right in the pot.

• Tea pot stands approx 5”H and 5” W

• Tea cups are 3”W x 2.5”H and hold 10oz each

• Glaze is lead free, microwave and dishwasher safe. The cups and saucers can go in the dishwasher but the teapot should be hand wash only.
